Oh, Feb. where have you gone?

This has been a very busy month because of Alena Saylor turning 2 and going to Houston two weekends a month. Samaya has been growing way too fast. She is such a mommies girl. She adores me, which is very special. She is crawling everywhere and a lot of moms have told me that that is early for her age. She is standing too - using everything she can find to support her. There have already been some scary moments. She rolled off our bed - thank goodness she was okay. She has almost pulled a lot of heavy items down on her head, but she is very blessed and has not had a major accident yet. She is moving along standing up too if she has enough support. The girl wants to walk so badly! I so don't want her to! She has said momma and usually says momma momma momma - definitely her first word!

Alena is sleeping mostly in her big girl bed. She prefers it to her crib right now. She also just started loving dolls. She didn't care about them before she turned two, but now she has to sleep with dolls. We go to the jumpy gym at least once a week because it's cold outside. Alena screams with excitement every time we walk in. She loves playing with the baby dolls and the kitchen and the books. She does not jump that much on the jumpy things. The doctor said she is talking like a 3 year old. Everyone is always amazed at how well she communicates. It's awesome because she can even talk on the phone to people. It's really cool! She does well potty training, but we still have accidents and there are really good days and then some not so good ones. We're still working on it.
My job asked me to come back with a big raise for contract work. I totally wanted to do it, but Aman and I decided it would be too much especially if I had to go into the office once or twice a week. I am really sad it didn't work out, but something better may come along. Right now it's fun being with the girls.

Samaya is a great eater. We are up to 2 meals a day and boy can she eat. It's wonderful. She had banana's, apples, pears and peaches. We are going to try prunes and sweet potatoes next. We are also sleep training her. She goes down between 7-8pm in our room and wakes up once or twice, but puts herself back to sleep. I usually go into the room between 5-7am to feed her. Then she is usually up. She wakes up early compared to Alena. I have to get use to that. She is doing really well.
