My cute girls...they are so sweet. Aunt Brandi made them these cute shirts with the ducks on them...so incredibly cute. I went back to work two weeks ago for a 3 month contract at my old work after being gone for 7 months. They tried to get me back a month ago and it didn't work out so I feel honored that they ask me to come back again. There is no travel involved and I can work from home. Auntie Tammy is coming over to help me out with the girls. Alena said an amazing sentence today, she said, "Let's go outside and see the snail." Wow, she is barely 2!!! It's 3/21/2010. She also got her true big girl bed (we changed her crib to a toddler bed) and Samaya is finally in her own room and Aman and I get our room back. I am so happy about that.

Alena has fun at a Cabela's
Publish Post
Aman, Brandi & I & the kids went to Cabela's to look for safari clothes, but Alena is the one that had a blast there. She played with the toys and there was a cute chair that was her size. We showed her the animals and the fish and the shooting range. She had so much fun.

Alena Saylor turns two
Alena had four birthday parties this year. One on her birthday with Austin family. One at school, one in Houston with family and then one at the children's museum with her friends. On her actual birthday she went to jumpy gym and made a cookie and a craft for Valentines day. For her school I brought cup cakes and her teacher's gave her a coloring book. In Houston we went to Mokey Joe's jumpy gym and then to the Rainforest Cafe, which she absolutely LOVED!
Oh, Feb. where have you gone?
This has been a very busy month because of Alena Saylor turning 2 and going to Houston two weekends a month. Samaya has been growing way too fast. She is such a mommies girl. She adores me, which is very special. She is crawling everywhere and a lot of moms have told me that that is early for her age. She is standing too - using everything she can find to support her. There have already been some scary moments. She rolled off our bed - thank goodness she was okay. She has almost pulled a lot of heavy items down on her head, but she is very blessed and has not had a major accident yet. She is moving along standing up too if she has enough support. The girl wants to walk so badly! I so don't want her to! She has said momma and usually says momma momma momma - definitely her first word!
Alena is sleeping mostly in her big girl bed. She prefers it to her crib right now. She also just started loving dolls. She didn't care about them before she turned two, but now she has to sleep with dolls. We go to the jumpy gym at least once a week because it's cold outside. Alena screams with excitement every time we walk in. She loves playing with the baby dolls and the kitchen and the books. She does not jump that much on the jumpy things. The doctor said she is talking like a 3 year old. Everyone is always amazed at how well she communicates. It's awesome because she can even talk on the phone to people. It's really cool! She does well potty training, but we still have accidents and there are really good days and then some not so good ones. We're still working on it. My job asked me to come back with a big raise for contract work. I totally wanted to do it, but Aman and I decided it would be too much especially if I had to go into the office once or twice a week. I am really sad it didn't work out, but something better may come along. Right now it's fun being with the girls.
Samaya is a great eater. We are up to 2 meals a day and boy can she eat. It's wonderful. She had banana's, apples, pears and peaches. We are going to try prunes and sweet potatoes next. We are also sleep training her. She goes down between 7-8pm in our room and wakes up once or twice, but puts herself back to sleep. I usually go into the room between 5-7am to feed her. Then she is usually up. She wakes up early compared to Alena. I have to get use to that. She is doing really well.

Potty Training & the other cute kid
So Alena is full on potty training. She has the potty and the diapers are off. We rolled up the carpet down stairs and tried no diaper for a few days...wow, it was messy. Now she is wearing her underpants and going in the potty (we take it with us into the living room or kitchen so that she sees it. She does about 50/50 right now - 50% in the potty and 50% messes. Samaya is just a sweet heart and a cute girl. She is full of smiles and doesn't demand hardly anything. She really likes to lounge right now.

After Christmas
Christmas 2009
Alena was excited to see presents on Christmas Day. Santa ate the cookies we left for him and I made our traditional coffee cake for Jesus birthday with a candle on top. We opened our presents and then Alena opened her gifts and then Samaya opened hers. Alena got a Barbie Hot wheels a kitchen with a shopping cart and a slide along with lots of books and puzzles and stocking stuff. Samaya got a play mat, shoes a toy and stuffed animals in her stocking. We went to my parents house around 4 and did Christmas there where the girls were spoiled by both my sisters and her grandparents. It was a fun day.
